西區的版圖重整，湖人在夏季留下了重要的成員 Austin Reaves、Jarred Vanderbilt、D'Angelo Russell 和 Rui Hachimura，也做了不少補強，如：Gabe Vincent、Christian Wood、Taurean Prince 和 Jaxson Hayes。處處看起來，就是為了要打倒金塊，來準備；太陽也磨刀霍霍，換了教練改變了體質也有了 Bradley Beal 與 Jusuf Nurkic，只為了打造一個冠軍級的陣容。
這三強之外，勇士持續走自己的傳統舊路線，跑轟，重要的新成員只一位 Chris Paul，其餘板凳上成員雖上不了抬面，但渴望著 Paul 來化腐朽為神奇。
新的賽季即將開始，冠軍班底大致仍保有，但面臨的挑戰是比去年還大。
先發五虎不變的陣容，面臨的是板凳組的大洗牌，少了一個 Bruce Brown 真會差這麼多嗎？ 新球季，金塊隊的板凳區將由資深控衛 Reggie Jackson 為首，帶領一群年輕的，如：Christian Braun、Zeke Nnaji、Peyton Watson 、Julian Strawther 和奇兵 Hunter Tyson。當然，老的也有，如：Justin Holiday 和 DeAndre Jordan。
別擔心的是，五虎仍會交替著用，關鍵時，不太可能出現五位替補上場的局面，一個 Braun 或 Justin Holiday，搭上 Jamal Murray 或 Nikola Jokic 也可以是正規軍。
在薪資結構下，金塊隊的板凳軍團只能保著 Jackson、Holiday 和 DeAndre Jordan 這些老的殘兵，帶一群幼小的菜鳥兵。其中的 Christian Braun 相當的硬，很可能就是取代 Bruce Brown 的重要的人手。

"I just think we can do it again," Murray said at Nuggets media day on Monday. "I think that's the biggest thing, just being able to repeat and go through the adversity and ups and downs of this season. Just be ready by April and going to June."
"Just to win as much games as possible and try to have fun during that period," Jokic said of the next step for him this season. "Go get the opportunity to win another one. Probably that's going to be the next step for us.

Denver coach Michael Malone was introduced as "the Lakers' daddy" during the team's parade. 全員健康的冠軍隊，依舊延用強力五虎，但沒受到主力板凳出清的影響，仍打出好表現。
N. Jokic 繳出 27.3 分（命中率高達 68.0%）、12.2 籃板與 7.7 次助攻的 MVP 等級表現。二哥 J. Murray 的表現略有起浮，仍有 18.7 分、8.7 次助攻的水準。

看來，約老師在明星賽根本就是擺爛！Jokic had 32 points, 16 rebounds and 16 assists for his third straight triple-double and 18th of the season after his long buzzer-beater against Golden State sealed the last meeting, leading the Nuggets past the Warriors again in a 119-103 victory Sunday night.
本季已經 18 次大三元的 Jokic，生涯大三元已達 123次，僅次於魔術強森、大 O (Oscar Robertson) 與神龜，有沒有可能成為第三位單季大三元的神獸，可能還有待刷數字。
