2007年購得;
Infiniti  都是部好車👍

I live in Silicon Valley. I currently own 2007 G35S (110k miles), 2010 M35X (41k miles) and 2017 GSF (1k miles). Even though I have GSF for 1.5 months. I still like my OLD G35S very much and feel very excited when I drive it. The steering and handling are still very sharp on it.

The below is modification list on G35S:
Bilstein PSS10/ Eibach sway bars/ Ultra Racing chassis braces(only rear)/Cusco strut bar/SPC camber kits(front & rear)
Z1 Stainless Steel brake line/Hawk hps brake pad/ ATE Brake Fluid
Light weight crank pulley

Before I buy GSF, I don't realize my OLD G35S is so good. I thought it's almost 11 years. I didn't replace any old factory parts except the above list. And I always drove it very quickly and hit brake very hard in the past because it's used and cheap when I bought it 8 years ago. All the old factory parts should become loose. No way OLD G35S can compete with GSF. But I'm WRONG!!!

I also tested 0-60 on OLD G35S 6 months ago. It's 5.05 seconds. I also tested brand new Q50 3.7 before. It was 5.3 at best. I also installed KW V3 on G35S before. I think KW is better than Bilstein. I usually change Coilover on my G35S every 3 years because I keep torturing it in the past. My previous ride was 2000 Maxima in Taiwan (it's also cheap used car and I also torture it for 6 years without problem until I moved to USA!!!). I really think Nissan's engineering is VERY VERY VERY good!

I also have one experience I would like to share. For 2003-2013 G35/G37, 2004-2010 M35 the shocks are weak point even if they are new, because they are under damped. You may feel unstable when you drive them on rough road with over 50km/h. My wife complaint that her 2010 M35X was unstable and difficult to drive when she moved from 2000 Maxima to 2010 M35X 7 years ago and my old Maxima was installed Koni shocks and H&R springs. For G you can install Koni on them. But for M I don't have any solution for them. I'm still looking for good shocks from Europe for my wife's M but no luck so far. I also don't like Japanese shocks such as Tokico or KYB. Compare to Koni they feel stiff at low speed and unstable at higher speed. I think Koni are totally at different level from Tokico or KYB. Just like Nissan's reliability is totally at different level from European cars but the direction is opposite. One goes up and one goes down. Good shocks can dramatically change your driving feel. They will let you drive at 120 km/h but feel like 80 km/h or 60km/h. They will build your driving confidence.

For newer cars like Q50/Q70 I'm not sure. I never own them but I believe that new Q50/Q70/Q70X have softer springs than previous generation because I test drive them before. I also think they give up some performance and become more refine, quiet and comfortable.

If you don't agree to my opinions, you can skip them. I'm almost 52 and like cars since I was 20. Maybe I'm wrong but so far I still believe the above statement. Thank you for reading these.

One more thing. If you don't drive cars fast like me, you don't need to change springs. The performance springs will really hurt your ride comfort. Shocks will degrade when getting old but springs will not except you load heavy stuff on your car all the time.

Stiffer springs = More Grip
Stiffer shocks = More confidence + little more/less grip but too stiff shocks will always lose grip like too stiff sway bars.

Maxima + Koni + H&R = BMW like handling
G35S + KW V3 + sway bar + braces = M/AMG like handling
GSF + Ohlins = Race machine (I think, haven't tried it yet) I will keep abusing this car in the future and expect it will last even longer than my previous Nissan

Of course all the above modification will lose some ride comfort. My G35S doesn't ride harshly. It just has more busy ride and I like it because I will feel the road all the time. The feedback from steering wheel on GSF is only whisper level but it becomes shouting loud on my G35S with only KW V3. KW V3 is really that good.
Sorry. When I said I abuse or torture cars, I didn't really abuse or torture them. I just drive/brake them very hard without thinking they will break down. In addition I always put very good synthetic oil like Mobile 1, Royal Purple, Eneos, etc. in them every 3K miles. So even though the oil is already used for 3K miles, it still looks like new on oil dipstick from my OLD G35S/M35X. I'm so picky on car performance not appearance (my G35S is already slightly hit in the front, middle and back. All were caused by others including my wife, not me). I want their performances are always on the best condition.

PS: I haven't received any tickets in USA/Canada for totally 13 years' driving time. I drive cars fast but cautious. I never have any accidents except one time which was really caused by me. That was not minor and happened 10 years ago in Taipei. It was caused by new (only 3K miles) but weak tires (GR80) in my 2000 Maxima. I did a four wheel drifting(90 km/h) at high speed corner on city expressway during a sunny day. The tires didn't squeal at all when they began to drift. They just did it all of sudden. Luckily I didn't impact any other cars. The car body wasn't hit either. But I had to replace a lot of chassis parts like wheels, lower links, shocks, wheel bearings etc. After that I realized that tires were very important. The comfortable touring tires are not enough for me even though they are made in Japan. In addition, after replacing all those damaged parts, my 2000 Maxima still could get back factory wheel alignment without problems.
This is my wife's 2010 M35X. It has same engine and transmission as 2007 G35S except it's AWD. G35S is RWD. These two cars have only 5-speed auto. When they cruise at 120 km/h on the highway, their engine speed is 3000rpm. Do you know what it means?

3.5 V6 + Nissan torquey engine + 3000rpm(no overdrive) + light weight crank pully = Superman

These cars are always in battle state on the highway. The throttle response is instant and better than my GSF. Of course if my GSF down shifts to lower gear, it will become faster. You may ask no overdrive will hurt fuel economy. Yes, it did. G35S got 11 km/l on the highway (my previous 2000 Maxima was 12 km/l). I think it is acceptable (thinking I can cruise like M3 on the highway and passing many cars without downshift). In addition, even though it run such high rpm on the highway all the time, I still cannot hear any engine noise in G35S(180K km) and M35X (even at 160 km/h).

thanks for nice sharing
Yesterday I went to Lexus dealer to do a free oil change for my 2017 GSF. After change my wife and I confirm that my GSF engine at idle is much louder than my 2007 G35S and 2010 M35X. I think the dealer put convention oil in my GSF. I'm not trying to say my GSF is bad. Actually it's very good. What I'm trying to say is my OLD OLD G35S is still very good. I will definitely miss it if I give it to my son...
I also think my G35S's brake is very good. I believe my GSF's Brembo big brake should be much better than my G35S on the track but in daily use, I think G35S's brake is quicker, more effective and needs less effort to stop. The below is my modification for my G35S's brake.

Z1 Stainless Steel brake line/Hawk hps brake pad/ ATE Brake Fluid

Please be noted that Hawk hps does need more effort to stop when brake is cold and car is at low speed at the same time. Taiwan is warm most of time so this should be OK (my 2000 Maxima also installed it in Taipei. It was very good). Silicon Valley is not cold most of time, either.
