I own a 2017 GSF now but I just rented a 2018 M4 (Competition)

Toyota Twin Turbo V8 is coming

I plan to buy the next generation ISF equipped with this new engine to replace my current GSF for my age 60-7x...

This new car would also be the LAST CHAPTER in my life!!! (also the best)

PS: Of course, like my previous Nissan, I will not sell my current GSF then. I will pass it to my daughter...

I just found this G force meter from my GSF... (F-Sport packages may also have this meter)

I think my current driving habit during cornering is around 0.6G only which is a little conservative. I will try to increase it to 0.8G at maximum if the condition is allowed. However, I will not go near 1G on PUBLIC ROADS!!!

In addition, public roads are NOT like race tracks. The conditions could be VERY DIFFERENT!!!

I think I might do a 0.8G or above one time. However, at that time my GSF rear tires(PSS, 275/35R19) lost traction.

I think PSS tires are not good at colder weather like 10C. In addition, I have to make sure the tires are warm enough. (33psi >>> 36psi)

The PSS tires warm up very slow. I drove my GSF on highways for at least 15 minutes at colder weather like 10C. The tire pressure only increase 2 psi!!! I think my previous RE001 warmed up much faster!!!

This is the best I've done this morning on 40-110 km/h mountain roads which was 0.92G...

I think what I've done before was not slow, either. But, I still could do a little better...

Even with that high G, my GSF stock sway bars were still stiff enough. The body roll is still very small. (Ohlins DFV 16/12K doesn't reduce its body rolls)

I think Miata could have some body rolls even with 0.5G!!!

I also think I do much more G on down hill roads as I usually do NOT like to brake before entering the corners...

Actually this is VERY BAD driving skills... I should SLOW in and FAST out!!!

However, I do not really care about the lap times.... I just enjoy those G forces during cornering...

I also think those aggressive pick up truck drivers in America are not slow on mountain roads...

I have to drive my GSF with substantial 0.6G on corners to keep ahead of those drivers...

Those pick up trucks only could do 0.75-0.8G at maximum... I think they really drive ON the limits!!! (Not to mention that those pick up trucks have much higher rides and much more sloppy handling) In addition to good driving skills, I think those drivers really have BIG and STRONG hearts!!!

The Miata I tried was Miata RF. Actually Miata Club has much higher limit.
Skidpad:
Miata RF : 0.88g
Miata Club : 0.95g

How about my GSF... It's 0.95 also. It's as good as my GSF's.

So... Miata may have a lot of body rolls but its limit may be as high as my GSF's!!!

I also check Civic Type R... It's 1.01G which is even higher than 2017 GT-R premium (0.98G)!!!

GT-R Nismo and NSX lateral accelerations are 1.03G...

However, it's quite easy to increase the lateral acceleration. Just put some some bigger or more sticky tires like RE-71R on your cars...

PS: 2021 Civic Type Limited Edition with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires which are similar to RE-71R is even better and could do 1.04G!!!

I just wonder how noisy those high G cars will be especially for those light weight cars like MX-5....

My GSF with 255/35R19(F) and 275/35R19(R) PSS tires are already noisy on the highways...

The MX-5 RF I rented was even WAY more noisy than my GSF!!! (It's could be the most noisy car I have ever driven )

Again, no one is perfect...

By the way... High lateral acceleration doesn't mean good handling!!!

A car has very high limits on tracks but its handling may be very clumsy or not as good...
