Celtics fans hoped that neither Robert Williams III ($11.6 million) nor Al Horford ($10 million) had to go. Many prayed that a framework presented by The Athletic’s John Hollinger featuring Payton Pritchard ($4 million), Luke Kornet ($2.4 million), Sam Hauser ($1.9 million), Jordan Walsh ($1.1 million), and Blake Griffin ($3.2 million) via sign-and-trade would’ve sufficed. By trading Robert Williams instead of trying to package together the majority of the bench, the Celtics were able to maintain their prospect depth and build a bench for the future with Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser and Jordan Walsh. Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard has agreed on a four-year, $30 million contract extension, his agents Austin Brown, Max Saidman and Mitch Nathan of CAA Sports told ESPN on Sunday.

The deal, which is fully guaranteed, comes with the expectation that Pritchard will have a more significant role off the Celtics' bench this season.

Jrue Holiday 和 Kristaps Porzingis 真的解放了雙 J 嗎？從熱身賽看，真的大鳴大放啊！

哪一支球隊的先發標配是全明賽成員 ? 全聯盟就只有塞爾蒂克和勇士做得到。在驚天的大交易後，Jrue Holiday 轉隊之初，還是從替補開始，轉先發後，Joe Mazzulla 就把過於老氣的 Al Horford 就被降為替補了。

陣容轉變之後，賽爾蒂克的進攻發動機就提升為三位，Tatum、Holiday 和 White，這也是最大的不一樣，因為，敵對不太可能再只針對 Tatum 包夾，而是，必須慎防四位球員能在外圍飆外線。Al Horford 速度過慢的盲點，在 Holiday 可切可突破的情況下，讓新賽爾蒂克的進攻模式，變得更多元。如果，對手要慎防 J.B、 Tatum、Holiday 和 White 的切入突破，又要當心 Porzingis 吃餅。

這跟勇士的死亡五小是大大不相同的五位球員的搭配，原因就在於 Porzingis 是投籃極準且高大的， J.B 和 Tatum 又是體能超級勁爆的球員。有經驗的 Holiday 在掌控節奏上與單打的能力上，又是可以打，也可能換防，就像是勇士隊的 Andre Iguodala。這五人的搭配，減少了失誤的可能，又增添的進攻的威脅性，應該就是最有進攻效率的組合了。
