I own a 2017 GSF now but I just rented a 2018 MX-5 Miata

Comparing with 2017 GSF how different 2018 Miata felt...

I think their handling on mountain roads is just like 125cc scooter vs 50cc scooter in Taiwan...

Actually I quite enjoyed driving this little car which lets mountain driving become easy...

But, I still love my GSF because GSF has more power, more stable, more comfortable, less body roll, more rigid body, higher limit, MUCH MUCH quieter, much more refined etc.

I think both cars are good but my GSF is still a bit better... (of course GSF price is about 2.5 times MX-5 price!!!)

This little car reminded me of my previous 1992 Civic LX...

It has all kinds of noises such as road noise, wind noise and engine noise... I think that's the biggest problem on it beside its very small size...

Actually this little car was surprisingly stable on highway...

But, its body is not so rigid like my old 2007 G35S. I think IS, GS, NX, ES body should be more rigid. Of course my GSF is even more rigid. But, that's fine because it comes with smaller tires. And you should not drive it too fast... I think its chassis and suspension is very good. It just doesn't have very rigid body like many Lexus and Infiniti.

I think MX-5 is a good car but I still choose GSF if I only can choose one...

Comparing with MX-5 GSF feels a little heavy on mountain roads but GSF has more solid handling, less body roll and higher limit... And all kinds of feel, touch and refine from a luxury car...

If I put Ohlins on GSF, I think GSF could become as nimble as MX-5 on mountain roads... (but GSF will still feel more heavy. It think MX-5 will always feel lighter like 50cc vs 125cc scooter... )

Actually I tested 86 before. 86 suspension was much stiffer but I remember 86 was not noisy like that Miata.... The noise could also be caused by Miata convertible...

Believe it or not... I just find my wife drive her 2010 M35X much more aggressively than before...

I asked her why? She said her M became faster recently (after XADO treatment). She also said her M felt almost as good as that M4.... So she becomes more confident to do something which M4 can do...

She also said on curvy roads M4 was better but on highways her M was as good as that M4.... I think I'm old now but she seems to be still young....
