2019 Amstel Gold Race

※ 菜鳥的逆襲，再給愛玩 "Cat & Mouse" 遊戲的老鳥們當頭一棒。

(還記得今年 Tour des Flandres 的第 1 名 Alberto Bettiol - 也是"菜鳥" - 怎麼贏的嗎？ )

另外，Mathieu Van Der Poel 成為 "X 因子"，凡是有他參加的比賽，老鳥們都要小心了。

--- 第一次參加 Amstel Gold Race 的 Mathieu Van Der Poel (Corendon - Circus)，

果然是"初生之犢不畏虎"，

在終點前六公里時還落後"領先菁英二人小組" 1 分鐘，他沒有放棄，一路苦苦追趕，

再加上前方"領先小組"的大意與鬆懈，終於在終點前約 500 米處追到了"射程範圍"之內。

隨後在進入終點前 200 米之內時， Van Der Poel 率先發起衝刺，

並以強大的爆發力輾過原本領先的 Julian Alaphilippe 與 Jakob Fuglsang，

有些意外地拿下了 2019 Amstel Gold Race 的第 1 名。

這項荷蘭當地最盛大、最重要的比賽，繼 2001 年的 Erik Dekker 之後，

歷經 18 年的等待，終於又迎來了他們的 "Home Winner"。

--- 子承父業 (虎父無犬子) ：

Mathieu Van Der Poel 的父親 Adri van der Poel 在 1990 年也贏得了 Amstel Gold Race

的桂冠，此外，老 Van Der Poel 也是 1996 年 Cyclo-Cross 世界冠軍、

1986 年 Tour of Flanders 第 1 名、1988 年 Liège–Bastogne–Liège 第 1 名、

1983 年公路世錦賽第 2 名；

Mathieu Van Der Poel 循著他父親的足跡前進，而且目前僅 24 歲的年紀，

頗有"青出於藍而勝於藍"之勢。

--- Simon Clarke (EF Education First) ：

搭上 Mathieu Van Der Poel 的追趕快車之後，就一路緊黏不放，

並且成功以第 2 名進入終點，再為車隊拿下好成績。

--- Jakob Fuglsang (Astana Pro Team) ：

鑒於今年三月初在 Strade Bianche 與 Julian Alaphilippe 交手的慘痛經驗

(在終點前被跟在身後的對方奇襲超越)，

這場比賽又是他倆人組成領先小組，Fuglsang 明顯態度消極，不願意出來帶領，

終點線前他依舊跟在 Alaphilippe 身後伺機而動，

待發現 Van Der Poel 以迅猛之勢超越他們時，

才趕忙變線跟在 Van Der Poel 與 Simon Clarke 之後以第三名進入終點，

勉強登上了頒獎台。

--- Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick - Step) ：

原本似乎勝券在握的比賽 (和 Jakob Fuglsang 的終點線之爭應該沒有懸念)，

沒想到竟然被半路殺出的程咬金 - Mathieu Van Der Poel - 破了局，

搞到滿盤皆輸，只拿到第 4 名，連頒獎台都上不去。

--- Michal Kwiatkowski (Team Sky) ：超過 20 km 的狂追猛追，進入終點前 1 km

才終於追上前方二人領先小組，卻已經氣力放盡，無力再回應終點前的強力衝刺，

只能順順滑進終點，以第 11 名作收。

--- Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton - Scott) ：與 Michal Kwiatkowski 組成二人追趕小組，

表現精彩，以第 10 名進終點，上一場 Paris-Roubaix 掉到第 43 名，這一場狀態有回穩。

--- Greg Van Avermaet (CCC Team) ：第 14 名；

--- Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) ：第 16 名；

--- Oliver Naesen (AG2R La Mondiale) ：第 28 名；

--- Philippe Gilbert (Deceuninck - Quick Step) ：第 30 名；

--- Wout van Aert (Team Jumbo-Visma) ：第 58 名；

--- Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team) ：第 66 名；

--- Peter Sagan (BORA - hansgrohe) ： DNF ！
