看來Atmos 也可以在一對HomePods 上面用,但是效果沒有AirPods Pro好

On a pair of HomePods connected to Apple TV 4K, Atmos tracks generally sound wider and more detailed. HomePods effectively manage to place sounds lower or higher (not ceiling level, though) relative to the listener perspective as well as wide left, wide right, and center. Especially the virtual center channel sounds eerily real.
With AirPods Pro, the Atmos effect is even better. Music sounds more immersive due to better audio positioning, and you can hear more details – you feel a higher level of presence. Most of it is simulated but the effect is better and more accurate than on a pair of HomePods.

With supported headphones, you’ll hear that greater scope as if you were the microphones in the room. And if you run it through an Atmos soundbar or speaker system, such as the Sonos Arc through an Apple TV, the music will deliver a greater scope of sound around your room.
But that last one is true Atmos, because the sound is firing from around the room, with the back, the front, and even on the ceiling, creating a bubble of music that immerses and envelops. Headphones don’t necessarily quite get the same experience.
With headphones, the sound is closer to you and a little more stationary, but still largely two channel, and won’t change depending on where you move your head. In fairness, that’s probably because music tends to be like that, and you don’t often want to move away from it and still hear it. That would be background music or just simply not listening to it at all.

One thing cannot be denied: Dolby Atmos Music (which I use synonymously with “Spatial Audio” for this review) creates a much greater sense of space. Atmos tracks feel like you’re sitting in a studio with the band while the musicians are spread around you.
But since this effect is simulated by two pretty standard speakers attached to your head, that extra sense of space has to pay its price: you lose some dynamic and the volume drops pretty dramatically.
It’s almost like sitting between two speakers that are closely spaced and then someone moved the speakers 6 meters away, but not increasing the volume to make up for the extra distance. You get an airy, open sound, with an increased sense of where the music is physically coming from, but at the same time the intensity and intimacy decrease.
I’ve repeated this A / B comparison on various other tracks I’m more familiar with, such as Red Rider Insane fringes, The Weeknds Blinding lights, and the Beatles Here comes the Sun, and listened to the AirPods Pro and Sennheiser’s HD 560S. Every time I appreciated the big room effect of Dolby Atmos with its ultra-deep soundstage, but I also found that the traditional stereo mixes had more power, more clarity and, to me, more emotional punch.
Hollywood sound mixers have worked with Dolby Atmos for years, and the results can be stunning with the right equipment. But the format is still very new for musicians. I have a feeling that Lowe is right when he said, “At some point there will be new artists born into the room like I was born in stereo. Future artists may not even think about making a stereo recording – because everything they have ever known is spatial. “
When that happens, we should begin to get “spatial first” tracks designed from the start to take advantage of the greater immersion that formats like Dolby Atmos allow.

如果有一首24bit 96kHz的歌同時也有dolby atmos的版本
我將它輸出到外接音響 他會以24bit 96kHz播放dolby atmos嗎?

如果選擇強制開啟杜比全景聲 我的ipad會把外接DAC視為耳機
所以我想這種強制開啟應該是某種濾鏡加在原本的音檔上?
或者是其實是兩個分別的檔案呢?

又或者 dolby atmos版的規格最高皆是保真壓縮等級?
