個人準備之工具:網購之USB轉TTL線一條(接出console用)、網路下載的Windows 下的 TFTP Server 軟體一套(用來傳檔到機器裡)、Terminal軟體一套(個人使用 putty)。

如何接線:硬碟拆下來就可以看到,最左邊是Pin1,對應轉接線的紅線,但是不要接!再來就TX、RX、GND。接這三條線就好。如果重開沒東西跑出來,可能是TX、RX接反...

因為我也是懵懵懂懂,不太清楚文章裡的某些作法是什麼意思,所以也不敢寫什麼教學了...
小弟依此文的指導,成功安裝上了 NetBSD。唔,NetBSD,很不熟。之前最多才用過FreeBSD而已。而且我沒有備份下來原本的linux(文章沒教...)所以我目前無法還原回去。
裝上了 samba(需要經過其套件管理系統下載compile安裝) 後,很遺憾地,傳一個數G的大檔,最高只有 8 MB/s 左右的效能。比原廠還不如(原廠同樣網路架構下大約11MB/s)。看 top CPU已經吃到九十幾趴了,要怎麼詳細調教,甚至重編核心...唔,工程太大,俺也不會。
註:和比較專注於 i386 架構的 FreeBSD 不同,NetBSD 可以裝在很多不用架構的機器上。不過中文資料比起 FreeBSD 來說實在是非常少。
搞這台機器實在是沒什麼效益,純粹是閒得蛋疼...也許再深入研究,也有機會裝上新一點板本的 U-boot 和 Linux,大約要參考 linkstation HG 或是 Kurobox HG作好的改機包吧。Nas-01G 「可能」是這兩台的ram降級版。只是推測。

要刷u-boot沒成功變磚了(其實早就有賭一把的心態)。雖然網路上有可以回覆的方法,但是還要花錢花時間,已經不值得。重點是這台雖然傳BT可以吃盡我家下行20M的網路,但是傳檔太慢。雖然網路介面是Gigabit網路,但是I/O根本撐不到。網路上看到的好像都只能到10MB/s上下。
後來看到PChome前一陣子促銷古老的 Shuttle KS10(已清光),買來一測,讀90+MB/s;寫50MB/s。一台才1590元真便宜。只是功能陽春,也找不到改機的案例。就拿了一台 banana pi(類raspberry pi),把KS10當 banana pi 的網路磁碟機用。一樣用rtorrent 下BT。

NAS-01G 這台機器chroot成debian後拿來下BT是好機。但本身傳檔太慢這點沒救。所以刷成磚也不會很遺憾就是了。
補充:raspberry pi B+ 版(不是二代);裝 raspbian ,使用 rtorrent 無法吃盡 20M 下傳速度。如果家裡網路比20M還快的,不要考慮用它作下載機。banana pi 就可以吃盡20M網速。上限是多少就不知了。
