我有一 MacBook，去年底透過網路買的。簡單使用，沒做特別的設定，也未更動作業系統。
自動更新 10.4.11 時，電腦不太順，重新開機後，畫面只剩蘋果符號，還有轉輪轉個不停。
我上網找了許多資料，國內沒找到類似問題的討論，國外一堆。不知是機率的問題，還是因為此機設定成英文的緣故。總之，我找到最可行的解決方式在此：

Press T when you start your MB and then connect it to the other Intel-Mac via firewire.
Download the combo update with the link posted before from Apple on the other Intel-Mac.
Start the update and choose the MB HD for the update installation. It worked for me. took a few minutes when I restarted.
也就是說，將這台 MacBook 開機成外接硬碟模式，然後接到一台正常運作的 Intel-Mac 上，下載更新部份，然後對此用做外接硬碟的 MacBook 執行，就可完成更新。
我很想嘗試此法，可惜！手邊沒有另一台Mac，甚至，我不認識任何有Mac的親朋好友...
我已到某 Apple 服務中心，小姐很刻板，必須留下電腦，等待工程師維修。
因此我想請教：台北地區、或者北部，是否有可當面和工程師溝通解決問題的維修點？或是可以協助使用者解決此類問題的賣場？

最後的解決方式，如上一回復的連結中，可找到一段最明確、最簡單的處理方式：
If you have a USB thumb drive or any external drive, you can download the updater to this (using any other Mac or PC - from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx10411comboupdateintel.html).
Then reboot your Mac from the OSX Install DVD, launch Terminal then mount the dmg you downloaded via:
"/Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/usr/bin/open /Volumes/THUMB/MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.11Intel.dmg"
Then run the installer and apply it to your broken Mac:
"/Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/usr/bin/open /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ 10.4.11\ Combined\ Update\ \(Intel\)/MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.11Intel.pkg"
依上述方法解決無法開機的問題，不需要別的電腦，不需要火線，只需要開機光碟和隨身碟一個。
另外建議各位前輩，未來若遇到系統更新，最好是重新開機後，乾乾淨淨的狀況下，再執行更新，可能比較不會遇到問題。我這次遇到如此麻煩的狀況，很可能是該電腦太久未重新開機了，可能已開機近一個月的時間。
