left out one major issue in my iPhone 5 review on Monday as I thought I might be crazy. Then while playing SongPop last night my wife said, “What’s wrong with the screen, I have to tap two or three times sometimes?” I’d been thinking this as well, but thought I might be crazy. It’s possible it’s an iOS 6 issue, but it also might be a problem specific to the iPhone 5. Maybe it is the change in the aspect ratio that certain apps can’t adapt to, but sensitivity and accuracy of the touch screen on the iPhone 5 are worse.
First, it’s not terrible as it doesn’t happen but a few times per day at most, but it is quite noticeable since this never ever happened with my iPhone 4 or even iPhone 3G. I did a quick google search and found a few Yahoo Groups with this complaint. Most seem to think it is due to iOS 6 as some iPhone 4S users said the issue started for them after updating to iOS 6.
So while it might be due more to iOS 6, I’m still calling this an iPhone 5 issue because that is the phone I use constantly now. Again, I’m not sure how this could have happened, but change in display size and aspect ratio seem like logical things to blame. Will be interesting to see if this becomes a bigger issue once people stop complaining about the Maps App. Anyone else having this problem??
Update 11:18
Having thought about this a little more, I think it’s mainly due to not having the apps updated for iOS 6. My wife was using SongPop which I’m sure she hasn’t updated and I was having issues mainly in Twitter. After updating Twitter in the App Store (I rarely update App Store apps as most I never use after a week or two) it seems better. Will test some more.
It’s an iOS 6 thing. I noticed this on my 4S after updating to iOS 6. Updating the apps fixes it....(恕刪)

Yes, it seems updating all apps has solved the issue.
BTW, I agree about the Maps. The turn by turn is great so far in Nashville. LTE makes a huge difference with making it smooth(恕刪)
