這篇防水測試文，本是Imaging-Resource的文章，我節錄了該文中一段：
...it might be that Sony felt the camera's parts fit tightly enough that they didn't need gaskets, but other manufacturers have always made a big deal to us about the number and placement of gaskets on their weather-resistant bodies.
Sony's manufacturing process may well be able to maintain tighter tolerances between parts, such that gaskets were unnecessary, but it seemed at odds with the rest of the industry.
(此段大意略謂：Sony的機身防水條周全度不如其他廠牌同級相機。)
這是拆開機身來看就能判斷的事情，且一定是"通通如此"，不可能同型機身某些有防水條、某些卻沒有這種事情。這也是一翻兩瞪眼、比人家少就是比人家少的事情。
我沒有很多廠牌機身可以拆開驗證，但如果IR所述無誤，那Sony確實應該在防水周全度方面再進一步，以符消費者期待。雖然Sony的防水問題從未在實務上困擾過我，但我相信如我滿手Sony器材的用戶，都會殷切盼望盡速改善。
