Years Two through Five: You're Covered for Defects
From the second through the fifth year you own your Tumi product, Tumi will repair any items that are defective in materials or workmanship, (for a nominal processing fee), including any structural defects (such as defective handles, zippers, or locks). For years two through five, however, we will not cover damage resulting from wear and tear that is not the result of defects in materials or workmanship. We also will not cover damage caused by airlines or other transit damage. Damage claims in transit cases should be filed against the carrier. Other damages not covered are damage resulting from abuse, cosmetic damage (such as scratched leather or stained fabrics) and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

小弟不才, 我看不出這跟樓主要求合理的更換維修有甚麼關係?

依照描述樓主頂多只是 heavy use

看不出那裏是abuse了?

正常使用結果保固期內壞了

那我合理懷疑產品偷工減料

如果原廠不提供"五年保固"

敢咬定不是材料或製作方式的缺陷或是樓主濫用產品

我的背帶背面也發生一樣的狀況
正面看起來是很正常

喔, 我懂你意思了.
只是我認為材料或製作缺陷所造成的損害是在出廠的時候沒檢查到暇疵品. 跟用久了磨損是不同的.

真的要耐磨的材料的話, 我覺得用真皮來做效果會好很多.

這位老兄,你不覺得你的論點很可笑嗎?你是站在消費者這端還是廠商那一端?

廠商既然開出五年保固年限,這部分成本終究還是會反應在售價上。消費者合理提出要求,有何過錯可讓你來指責? 廠商為何不挑明肩帶不在保固範圍內,好讓消費者在購買前作選擇?

個人用 TUMI 也用 SAMSONITE

一條背帶 撞壁成本要多少錢
搞不好 10 NTD 都不要

經驗是 SAMSONITE 背帶壞掉(扣環)
拿去百貨公司專櫃修(還不是原來買的那家)

只登記序號及保固
過幾天一條新的背帶就到手上

TUMI 的背帶沒拿出來用

但是國際優良品牌名聲建立不易
一條背帶 壞了名聲 這種蠢事應該不會發生

coach 在美國這點做的很好
有一個 20 幾年前長輩送的錢包
縫線脫的亂七八糟

趁到美國時拿去看看能不能修
(其實是找理由想買新的)
店員知道我是外國來的請我第二天下午來拿

第二天去拿 線全部拆掉重新縫好
換了新的內襯 皮面上油保養好

師傅還幽默留的個小條子 在裡面
寫著 "20年後再見"

多少錢 ?? 不知
因為太感動了 所以在店裡大買特買...

原廠都說了第2~5年間, 自然磨損的不保固. 您老大就不用再盧這點了啦.
當初回覆是沒去看條款
是直覺認為那個肩帶不在保固範圍
美國很多終生保固產品大都都有但書
樓主自己也說用超過2年
後來看了條文
可以有各自解釋
但是就算是保固
還是一樣要付錢
那有跟沒有不是一樣

很多人不但連條文不看
或是看不懂
只會咬著5年保證不放
不知道是在表達什麼?
有些事不是說話大聲就有用

名牌產品也要看設計跟材質
像T-Tech的電腦包
背帶接背包的部份用的是塑鋼
那玩意背太重還是會斷的


Tumi的條文也說的很清楚Limited Warranty.

說白一點Tumi只有1年保固
去把Warrnty念一念再來發言吧! (same to myself)
而且第2年起如果不是defective in materials or workmanship
他們還可以拒絕幫你修理
就算是第2年後有cover
你還是要付修理費跟運費

根據樓上一堆叫..叫..叫..5年保固的"消費者"
只要臺灣Tumi幫樓主修/換新然後收費
這就叫做保固是不是?
這樣一來你就比較爽了是不是?

First Year of Ownership: Totally Worry Free
For the first twelve (12) months of ownership, if any damage - including damage caused by airlines or wear and tear - happens to your Tumi product, Tumi will cover all repair expenses, including shipping costs to and from our repair facility. The only exceptions to this are purely cosmetic damage, such as scratched leather, and incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to, or loss of, the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses.

Years Two through Five: Full Coverage
Through your fifth year of ownership, Tumi will cover all of the repair costs for any problems that result from defective materials or workmanship, including any structural problems or damage from wear and tear.
The only exceptions to this are damage caused by obvious abuse of the product, purely cosmetic damage and incidental or consequential damages as described above.

Your only responsibility is to ship your bag to us for repair, or take the bag to a Tumi store or authorized Tumi dealer, who will be happy to process the repair for a nominal handling and shipping fee. Many repairs can actually be handled right in the store, but if your bag does need to be sent to our facility, we will repair the bag quickly and ship it back at no cost to you. In those rare cases mentioned above where our warranty does not apply, we will promptly provide you with an estimate of any repair costs that may be involved.

A Lifetime of Service
We have never seen a product problem due to a manufacturing defect show up after five years of use, but we do have many customers with older bags that they would like to have refurbished, or to have broken or worn out parts replaced. For these customers, we offer a lifetime of courteous, responsive service and the highest quality repairs and refurbishment done at the lowest possible cost.

Proof of Purchase
