Some were wary over the confirmation that it was in fact a Chinese rocket.

U.S. Strategic Command spokeswoman Julie Ziegenhorn wouldn’t say if the rocket ever posed danger to people, but added that the command often sees rocket re-entries.

Jonathan McDowell, an astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Mass., told the Los Angeles Times that the Chinese rocket launched on June 25.
