因為現在的筆電幾乎找不到expresscard介面了，家裡還有一些expresscard的裝置，想說用買個usb轉expresscard頂著用，
但是後來看到轉接器的說明有講到不支援pci-e的expresscard裝置，看wikipedia知道expresscard裝置有分usb和pci-e。這下問題來了，網路上好像找不到這樣的討論，我到底要如何分辨產品是用哪種方式?難道只能依產品類型去猜去賭嗎?

應該是現在的筆電幾乎找不到 "Cardbus" 才對吧 ...
ExpressCard 才是目前主流筆電支援的 ....
所以你指的「家裡還有一些expresscard的裝置」是何物 ?
又「想說用買個usb轉expresscard頂著用」，到底是想什麼轉成什麼來用 ?
Cardbus 轉 USB 3.0 / eSATA ?

維基上的資料是指 ExpressCard 的傳輸通道可設計成走 PCIe (Max: 5Gbps)、USB 2.0 (Max: 480Mbps)、USB 3.0 (Max: 5Gbps)三種介面
三種介面各有優缺及其應用環境
例如:
走南橋晶片提供的 PCIe、USB 2.0 或是走北橋晶片提供之更大的 PCIe 2.0 高速通道
甚至是未來晶片組內建原生 USB 3.0、PCIe 3.0，ExpressCard 也可走 USB 3.0 來傳輸資料
並不是指 ExpressCard 裝置分成 USB 和 PCIe，兩者意義差很多 ....
使用者應該不用去管產品走哪種通道，只要在意筆電能插哪種規格的 ExpressCard
例如: ExpressCard/34 或是 ExpressCard/54
而老舊的 Cardbus 就只能走 PCI 通道沒得選，最高 133MB/s

像我個人使用的數台筆電都有 ExpressCard (包含最近新的)
幫朋友買的就看需求，大部分是沒有擴充需求
因此所選購的不是外型小就是薄，總之偏向內建功能為主，擴充性不是主要需求
由於我自己一直都有在使用 ExpressCard
對於原po說：「因為現在的筆電幾乎找不到expresscard介面了」，感到奇怪
剛 google 後才知道有「USB 轉 Express Card 介面卡 / 擴充卡」這類產品(但從來沒有想過去用) ..... 囧
這點是誤會很大的地方，跟原po說聲抱歉 !
有的支援 USB、有的支援 PCIe，個人猜測找找有沒有兩種通吃的
這種轉接 "應該/或許" 就能通吃吧 ?
