Earlier today, Intel announced the first CPUs from its ninth-generation Core lineup, which are for desktop PCs. Companies are already announcing new devices with the chips, including Dell with its Alienware Aurora and XPS Tower, and now Acer is refreshing its Predator Orion 9000 aand 5000 gaming desktops.
At the top of the line is the Predator Orion 9000, which can be configured with up to a Core i9-9900K CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics, supporting up to an 8K resolution. Acer says that it has a "spacecraft-like" casing with its black and silver chassis and customizable Addressable RGB bars and fans. The PC also has support for Intel's new X-series processors, which have up to 18 cores and 36 threads.

Predator Orion series desktops provides gamers with an arsenal of PCs that can withstand the
most demanding gaming scenarios today,” said Jeff Lee, General Manager, Stationary
Computing, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. “The refreshes are in line with Acer’s longstanding
commitment to empower users with the latest technological breakthroughs, and provide them
with best-in-class user experiences.”
At the mid-range, if you can even call it that, is Acer's Predator Orion 5000, which can now be configured with a Core i9-9900K and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. Like the Orion 9000, it has a transparent panel on the side with LED lighting to show off its internals.
Acer hasn't provided any pricing or availability information.
