This morning I drove my son's 2007 G35S...

I think I still love that old Nissan. With PSS10 the handling are much better than my wife's 2010 M35X. The acceleration is also better.

I also like the factory Bose system.

The handling should be about as good as my GSF + Ohlins DFV 16/12K. Of course, if I push both to the limit, GSF still feels better thanks to its higher body rigidness.

In addition, the steering from GSF is still better and more accurate... (This is especially good when I overtake other cars on very busy highways as I could easily feel the lane changes from steering wheel without really seeing the lane differences)

I think the reason why the steering from my son's G35S is not as accurate as my GSF's is G35S is already very old(200K kms). So, most of chassis parts are also very old and kind of loose.

Believe it or not, I never changed any chassis parts on that Nissans except PSS10, Eibach F&R sway bars and SPC F&R chamber kits.

Even Eibach sway bars and SPC chamber kits on that Nissan are at least 8 years old now!!!

Of course, GSF doesn't feel particular faster than that Nissan in city but does feel much faster on highways if I push my GSF to the limit. (467hp 8 speed vs 305hp 5 speed)

100-200km/h
GSF : 9.x seconds
G35S(305hp 5 speed): 14.x seconds
Q50 300GT, G37(7 speed): 13.x seconds
Q60 RS400: 11.x seconds
GT-R : 7.x seconds
Q50 300GT(tuned to 500hp) : 9.x seconds

Of course, Ohlins DFV is still better than PSS10 as Ohlins DFV provides more comfortable ride in city and better damping(more stable) on highways even though the springs from Ohlins are actually stiffer than those from PSS10.

This is new 2021 Acura TLX A spec...

It has 272hp from factory. How fast it is for 0-60mph... It's 6.2x according to the below video.

I think Nissan does much better in this respect as I tested 0-60mph for a rental 2019 Q60 300hp which is about the same fast as Q50 300GT. It was 5.2x EASILY even with some cheap gas since it was a rental car...

I'm also doing research on this new Z for my wife's next car... (to replace her current M35X which will be passed to my daughter)

However, it seems that my wife and my daughter don't like it!!! They can accept Q60 but not new Z...(My wife also doesn't like Miata, either) Maybe I need to give my current GSF to my wife... (Of course, I still can drive my GSF anytime when she doesn't need it )

PS: My wife does LOVE my GSF a lot but she doesn't like Ohlins suspension... She thinks GSF's stock suspension is already very good!!!

The hot summer is here now...

The A/C from my wife's M35X is still as cold as ice!!! (I did buy AC pro[$35 after rebate] to refill the A/C one time in 2017 spring)

However, we did encounter the below two new issues on this old Nissan last year and this year...
1. One of the two factory key remotes doesn't work. (last year)
2. The transmission gear indication in the instrument becomes a little blurred. (this year)

We will NOT fix those issues as they are not critical at all... (We will not need those failing functionalities)

Although my wife loves my GSF's stock suspension, she does NOT like M35X's stock suspension...

When she changed 2000 Maxima(Koni Sport+H&R springs) to 2010 M35X in 2011. She said new M35X was unstable and difficult to drive...

Why doesn't my wife like Ohlins suspension now??? Maybe she is getting old and over 50 and doesn't like those stiff aftermarket suspensions now...

Those stiff aftermarket suspensions are very good for handling but always need to sacrifice some ride comfort even though they are top-end like Ohlins DFV.

When my wife changed 2000 Maxima(Koni Sport+H&R springs) to 2010 M35X in 2011. She said new M35X was unstable and difficult to drive...

I also told her new M35X should be much more comfortable but she said she couldn't remember it... (In fact, she drove our Maxima in Taiwan and drove her new M35X in USA!!! )

I think my wife is over 50 now. I bet she will NOT like that Maxima if she can drive it again...

PS: Please do not say how good your BMWs including some M cars are... If compared with those stiff aftermarket suspensions, they're still way TOO SOFT!!!

This is the blurred instrument problem I mentioned in my wife's M35X...
