About the failed key remote for my Wife's M35X...

We decided not to buy a new one as we still have one key remotes working perfectly. In addition, that failed key remote still can unlock the car's doors and start the engine... Just its remote doesn't work...

So, we saved that 150USD!!!

I just waxed my wife's M. This should be the last time as my daughter will take over this Nissan very soon. The previous wax job was done 3 years ago!!! (I don't baby that Nissan now... )

It still looks pretty decent for a 11.5 year old car, right...

PS: The blue car behind is my son's 2007 G35S... My son is not a car guy like me. So he never washed or waxed his car!!! (poor baby... )

I just tested 0-60 for my wife's 2010 M35X(near 90K kms) this morning.

The previous 0-60 test was done 6 years ago. The previous result was 5.82. This time is 5.83...

Be honest. I'm a little disappointed because this M wasn't like my previous G which got faster and faster...

I guess the reasons could be the below...
1. There are many maintenance tasks are due now such as AT fluid(40K kms), spark plugs(90K kms and still factory parts), K&N air filters(35K kms), intake & throttle body carbon clean(45K kms), front & rear differential fluid(45K kms).
2. The previous gas was Shell but this time the gas is 76. (Shell should be better than 76. In my opinion, Chevron is better than Shell but Shell feels more powerful than Chevron)
3. This M wasn't abused as hard as my previous G.

Those maintenance items are due now. However, it's not my car and I'm old and lazy now.(I'm the only person maintaining these cars) I think the car condition is not perfect but still OK...

In addition, my daughter will take over this M very soon. So... (the slower the better... )

That BMW has much less mileage and is BMW certified!!! The Nissan is not certified...

Should I buy a BMW instead... OF COURSE NOT!!! (It's so tempting... but I'm not stupid!!!)

I think people in Taiwan should feel very happy as you can buy new and cheap Q50 right now... (In Taiwan these new imported Japanese cars in the past usually asked around 1.75 x the price sold in USA!!!)

The below Q50 in USA is similar to Q50 asking NTD 1,890,000 in Taiwan.

The used Q60s are expensive... but the worst thing is they also go very quick!!! (I've lurked these Q50/Q60 for quite some time now!!!)

I also looked into Lexus used cars but they are even more expensive!!! (and slower except F cars...)

Some people may think the cars in USA are so cheap comparing with those in Taiwan...

Actually I don't agree. You need to look at the whole picture. The total living cost in USA is MUCH higher.

Even cars are not cheap at all as In Taiwan I only need 2 cars at maximum but in USA I have to buy FOUR cars for my family!!!

With that low mileage this RC350 could be the cheapest RC around because it is so new but it already has 3 previous owners!!!

2018 Lexus RC 350 RWD - $40,750

I will definitely not consider this Lexus as it looks suspicious... However, it still asks about the same price as Q60RS. And, Q60RS is also much more powerful and fun than that Lexus!!!

0-60
RC350: 5.8sec
Q60RS(stock): 4.5sec
Q60RS(tuned): 4sec

Of course, that cheap BMW also has even less mileage than that Lexus... (13K vs 17K)
And, BMW is also cheaper!!!
