Like I said before... These Nissans are quite fast with T/C on!!!! (The new Z did 0-96km/h in 4.3s)

I had tested my 2017 GSF and a rental 2018 M4 Competition. They both ran about 5s flat.

If you don't believe that, you can test on your own. (I really don't mind... )

However, after 100km/h I believe my GSF and M4 are faster. (But, I never tested them because the tests were illegal on public roads)

PS: I also tested a rental 2019 Q60(300hp). The result was 5.28s.

Today my wife drove my son's 2007 G35S and told me "Wow! This old Nissan is still very good!!!"

She also told me that she passed through TWO yellow lights in a row today!!!

Since my daughter took over my wife's car, now my wife usually drives my GSF. So, now it's not only me who says my son's G35S is still very fast.

My wife said this Nissan felt much smoother than three months ago.

PS: Now my son has to drive his G35S for 50km commute daily for his new job. So, his Nissan recently becomes much better. Like I said these Japanese cars really love being driven...

Yesterday I changed coolant and ATF for my son's G35S... (I will also request both parts and labor charges on them from my son!!!)

Guess what... The coolant drain plug just broke into two pieces when I tightened it back!!! (I think I over tighten the plug in the past)

Luckily I found this product in a local auto parts store to seal the drain hole... (Thanks GOD!!!)

radiator drain plug

I think my son's G35S is TOO OLD now!!! I should let professionals to do some of the tasks now...

Although my son never washed his G35S, my son told me that he still really liked that Nissan because it could keep his commute time as short as possible!!!
(I think he finally realize what his old Nissan's strength is now... )

My son also told me that he was very willing to spend $3000 to fix his old Nissan if needed in the future!!! (Currently his Nissan market value is only around $5000!!!)

PS: Maybe these Nissans are not the best at racing but they're definitely very good on daily uses.

This is fun!!! This also reminded me of my uncle.

50 years ago when I was a child and watched my uncle changing the oil for his old Kawasaki motorbike, he told me with a smile that his motorbike didn't need oil to run because it could run with only water inside the engine!!!

The volume of ATF fluid can be changed by the temperature. So, a certain procedure needs to be followed when check the level of ATF, right? (This also makes the check procedure a little more complicate)

Actually, I think this situation is a bad thing and also a good thing!!!

Since many vehicles are designed to run in both very cold Canada and very hot desert, the ATF level of those cars must be very tolerable at the same time. If you don't run your car in those very extreme situations including towing or track uses, even though the ATF of your car 1-1.5 quart overfill or underfill, I think the AT should still be fine especially in California!!!

This cheap and easy solution could fix the leaky rear differential bushings but I don't even try to do it as my family including me didn't drive that fast to tell the difference!!!

(The bushings in both our two old Nissan became faulty A LONG LONG TIME AGO but so far, still no any noise and as smooth as butter)

PS: Just like leaky power steering, Both our old Nissans have that issue A LONG LONG TIME AGO but the levels of their power steering fluid NEVER drop. (They are definitely imperfect but still very reliable!!!)
