我也想要有一台Q70 3.7

但是沒有緣份。

真的是偶爾可以熱血一下,不過記得腳不能太大力XDDD
I'd driven Q50 3.7 for 4 days before. I think in 1500-3500 rpm this engine has better throttle response than my GSF. I think this is best part of Nissan engine. The 3.7 engine is V6 but it feels like V8 at that rpm. That's the reason why when buying Nissan engines, you need to buy bigger one. When the engine output is high, you will stay at that rpm most of time and feel like superman.

However this also reduces your mpg a little bit. I think it's true but you get lower mpg only in local(the engine also feels stronger). In highway mpg is fine. For my G35S and M35X it's different story, we get lower mpg in both local and highway. Why? Because we only have 5-speed auto without overdrive. In highway our engine runs like 3k rpm in 120 km/h but I like it because I feel like superman in local and highway all the time. (If you put in sport mode or downshift to lower gear, you also get same feeling in 7 speed auto)

Of course if I floor my GSF, GSF is faster because V8 is V8. Not sure how Nissan V8 feel. I never own one but it should be very good(like V10???)

Honda engine is opposite. I think that's one of reason in USA Civic is much more popular than Sentra because low power engine will rev its engine to high rpm more. In high rpm, Honda engine feels better. But I don't like it because most of time you stay at low rpm and Honda engine feels frustrated/depressed. However if you race with others, you will feel Honda engine surprisingly good. (I don't like to race with others. It's too dangerous. I just like to go point A to point B fast. I race with myself)

You can modify your intake, exhaust and car computer to increase your power in high rpm for your Nissan but you will also lose some power in low rpm.

I think our engine(VQHR) is not bad at all in high rpm (thinking it's among the best from Nissan). It just not as good as in lower rpm. Some car reviewer said the engine sounded coarse. I think it's true but it only happens in very high rpm like 5500 and above. I think it's also related to your engine oil. I put Royal Purple HPS on it and feel smoother and quieter than Mobile 1 in higher rpm.

Do you know Nissan provide special oil called ester oil for VQHR? But it's expensive and not fully synthetic. Royal Purple HPS uses similar technology like ester and is full synthetic. I think Redline is also good(even better than Royal Purple) but I never try it because it's much more expensive. In USA 5QT Royal Purple costs only $6 USD more than Mobile 1($25USD) if I buy 5 gallon(20 QT) at a time. (I have both G35S and M35X and change their oils every 5K km by myself. So I need 5 gallon a year.)
I also believe 3.7 has better pickup in low rpm than the latest RS 400 engine. (I have tested RS 400 engine many times) Of course if you floor the RS 400 engine, it will be faster like my GSF. Actually 0-60 my GSF is only 0.1 second faster than RS 400. But RS 400 engine is turbo and can be tuned easily. If tuned, RS 400 is definitely faster than my GSF but I also believe my GSF will live longer than RS 400 (NA vs Turbo). So as 3.7 NA engine.

而且看起來空間感也很足夠 總之就是非常有質感阿
My wife's car is 2010 M35X. She said that comparing to her coworkers' previous generation and current generation E class, she likes her M35X interior more. (She said this at least twice.) I think Q70 should be even better. She also said sitting in E class's back seat was not so good. Maybe because she sits(driving) in front in her M35X, but she is very sure that my GSF in the back is much much better(stable) than E class...
If you don't know, the redline of VQ/VHR 3.7 is 7800 rpm!(VQHR is 7600) I think it's among the best NA engines from Nissan. In high rpm it should also performs well but I didn't use that much because 1500-4500 rpm is very good already(best range)... (I'm the fastest one most of time. In silicon valley we have many V6, V8, Mustang, Camaro, GTI, Porsche,...etc)
VQ 3.7 的引擎真的挺不錯的, 馬力提升線性, 低轉聲音挺渾厚的, 高轉也有點賽車高亢的浪聲, 比 3.0 掛渦輪要好, 油耗表現也還能接受 ~ 不過估計未來的趨勢會是降低排量掛渦輪, 或是混合動力引擎的天下了 ~
