【7月初UCI剛公布Christopher Froome的salbutamol(沙丁胺醇)禁藥事件無罪，Team Sky的環法名單馬上就出爐啦！在5月的環義上，Froome最終如願穿上了總成績第一的粉紅衫，實現了跨年三大環賽連莊的霸業。身負四屆環法總冠軍的名銜，Froome絕對稱得上是本屆環法GC的頭號種子，此次參賽意在挑戰環法五冠王的歷史紀錄！
而Team Sky此次派出的火車戰隊也是實力強勁：Kwiatkowski和Thomas環法總成績都曾進駐前15，今年更是一個拿雙海賽(Tirreno–Adriatico)總冠軍，另一個則收獲Critérium du Dauphiné總冠軍；超级副將Poels和Castroviejo則將是輔佐Froome追求環法“五冠王”的又一重保障。
值得一提的是，名單中還有兩名不可忽視的超级新星——Moscon和Bernal。作為2016年Arctic Race of Norway的總冠軍，Moscon首登Paris–Roubaix的舞台便一鳴驚人獲得了第五名。Bernal第一年進隊便入選環法名單也是不簡單：Tour of California總冠軍、Tour de Romandie GC第2名，這位21歲的小將未來極有可能成為Froome的接班人，他也是今年環法白衫最有力的競争者，不知道今年他和Froome會不會上演2012年環法威鯨爵爺與Froome的故事？或是換由Thomas與Froome作主角？】
