Here we can save-out everything about our D7000 to a file on an SD card. Just select Save settings, and an NCSETUP7.BIN file is recorded to your card.
Here is the file that's recorded when I save my settings. (it's a file; it won't do anything in your browser.
To restore all the settings into your D7000, copy the file back onto an SD card, put the card in your D7000, and use the Load settings option.
You'd want to use this to backup all your settings if you loan your camera or send it in for repair. We tend to forget how long it takes us to get every setting to our tastes, and this lets us save and recall everything in the camera.
It also lets us share them with each other, but remember, we all have our own copyright information stored in our cameras, so using mine or anyone else's setup file will result in their information being in your camera and recorded in your files unless yo update it for yourself.
